Job summary

Generac is seeking a Sales Project Manager to lead new equipment sales projects for mission-critical data center customers, translating requirements into accurate, deliverable solutions.

You will collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to manage budgets, quotes, and timelines, ensuring uptime, reliability, and long-term customer success in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment with a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical field or equivalent experience.
• 4 years' experience in construction industry.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated consultative sales skills and ability to interpret power specifications for data centers.
• Detail-oriented, self-driven and able to work independently and with others.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management support for activities related to new equipment sales.
• Develop, grow, and retain a portfolio of data center customers through consultative outbound sales.
• Provide admin support and prepare quotes; manage the full sales lifecycle.
• Deliver accurate quotes aligned to data center requirements; review contracts for technical specs and terms.
• Establish budget, issue purchase orders, and monitor project financials.
• Support sales leadership and account managers with internal stakeholders.
• Resolve customer issues with urgency to minimize disruption in mission-critical environments.
• Educate customers on tools, resources, and best practices for product selection and long-term performance.
• Maintain documentation applicable to work scope and contract requirements; update sales platforms.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with technology and products.
