Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Power Generation Manager to lead strategy, reliability, and maintenance of backup power systems supporting critical data center infrastructure.

Responsibilities include governing a global maintenance program, coordinating with OEMs, and delivering technical training to critical-facility engineers.

The role requires 50% travel, on-site work at multiple U.S. locations, and a strong background in reciprocating engines and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or 10+ years in power generation.
• Deep technical expertise with reciprocating engines and emergency generators in high-availability settings.
• Experience leading investigations, corrective actions, and vendor escalations.
• Proven leadership ability across distributed teams and strong stakeholder influence.
• Strong analytical skills, with data-driven reliability improvement experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead power-generation experts and mentor regional teams.
• Own maintenance and reliability programs for backup generators and engines.
• Develop procedures, standards, and service-provider requirements.
• Oversee root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with OEMs, vendors, and operations to improve design and reliability.
• Deliver training on operating and maintaining emergency power systems.
