Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Power Generation Manager to lead strategy, reliability, and maintenance of backup power systems for mission-critical data center infrastructure. This role requires 50% travel and will oversee reciprocating-engine generators across multiple sites.

You will drive fleet-wide reliability initiatives, collaborate with OEMs and vendors, and mentor regional experts while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or 10+ years of related experience.
• Experience with reciprocating-engine power generation in data centers or high-availability environments.
• Deep technical expertise with emergency generators, diesel, natural-gas, and dual-fuel systems.
• Experience leading failure investigations, reliability engineering efforts, and vendor escalations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead power-generation SMEs across regions with mentorship and coaching.
• Own the global maintenance and reliability program for backup generators and related systems.
• Develop and maintain maintenance scopes of work, procedures, standards, and inspection plans.
• Provide deep technical oversight for reciprocating engines and generator systems.
• Lead root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions fleet-wide.
• Collaborate with OEMs, vendors, and service providers to resolve issues and verify actions.
• Deliver technical training for critical-facility engineers on emergency power systems.
• Drive continuous-improvement to reduce costs and increase generator availability and reliability.
• Ensure safety, environmental, regulatory, emissions, and business-continuity compliance.
