Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain mission‑critical facilities and support 99.999% uptime across AWS data centers.

You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to uphold safety and reliability. The role involves on‑site work, travel between sites as needed, and long shifts up to 12 hours with on‑call rotations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance.
• 2+ years of electrical facilities maintenance and 1+ years of mechanical facilities maintenance.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems and electrical power management systems.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and repairs of equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management.
• Coordinate on-site with contractors and vendors per practices and local laws.
• Work up to 12-hour shifts with possible on-call rotations.
