Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking an experienced Technical Operations Trainer to develop, manage, and deliver comprehensive training for regional data center facilities. The role blends hands-on technical instruction with program management to ensure facilities teams are trained, compliant, and capable of safe, reliable operations.

The trainer will own portfolio-wide programs, work with a remote team, and travel up to 35% to support regional needs and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of operations and maintenance experience in a critical environment (data center preferred).
Minimum 3 years of documented instructional experience or facilitation.
Ability to manage programs in a matrixed environment with standardization and regional execution.

Responsibilities

Own portfolio-wide training programs, including standards, materials, governance, and improvements.
Collaborate with remote training team to deliver programs regionally with consistent learner experience.
Assess training needs, identify skill gaps, and build plans supporting safety and compliance.
Develop and maintain training content covering data center operations, maintenance, and safety.
Deliver instruction via classroom, virtual, and hands-on formats using LMS and Teams.
Track completion, certification, and report on training activities and risks.
Travel up to 35% for regional training and stakeholder engagement.
