Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to maintain and troubleshoot critical electrical and mechanical systems across mission‑critical facilities. You will monitor UPS, switchgear, generators, cooling, and fire/life safety equipment to sustain 24/7 uptime.

You will collaborate with software, hardware, and facilities teams, perform PM tasks, and support on-site contractors while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices, procedures & local legislation.
