Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facilities, including diesel generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems.

You will operate in a fast-paced environment, support safety standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across AWS to keep the cloud running with minimal downtime.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
• Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs
• Perform rack installs and decommissions within SLA
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of equipment
• Technical writing to support change management
• Manage daily work requests and execute projects from conception to completion
• On-site support of contractors and vendors per established practices and local laws
• Shift patterns up to 12 hours and possible on-call rotations
• Role may support multiple locations/sites
