Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to support and maintain critical data center infrastructure in Boardman, OR.

You will assist in rack installation/decommissioning, monitor facility systems, and provide data to senior engineers to ensure uptime and reliability. The role requires 1+ years in data center or related facilities, with 2+ years preferred, and may involve lifting up to 39 pounds and on-site contractor coordination.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, or 1+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience.
• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 2+ years of data center engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning; monitor readings and facility management.
• Provide key performance indicators to senior engineers.
• Manage on-site contractors, sub-contractors and vendors per practices and local law.
• Monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for uptime.
