Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Oregon is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to safeguard mission-critical infrastructure.

You will perform hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and support 24/7 data center operations with strict safety and SLA adherence. The role requires 2+ years of electrical and mechanical experience and comfort with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical experience.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• Monitor daily work requests and manage to resolution; execute projects from conception to completion.
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with practices and local laws.
• Role may support more than one location/site.
