Job summary

TierPoint, LLC. is seeking an Operations Technician I to support data center hardware, monitoring, and security operations. This entry‑level role focuses on hands‑on tasks, ticket handling, and reliable customer service in a fast-paced facility.

You will assist with server/storage/network maintenance, monitor alerts, and follow procedures to ensure uptime. Availability for on‑call duties and nights/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Adequate professional experience and knowledge to perform Job Responsibilities.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work both independently and with others.
• Ability to operate in a fast moving, team‑oriented, collaborative environment with tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and Windows‑based computer applications.
• Preferred experience in data center industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the Installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, storage devices, and network equipment.
• Provide remote smart hands support for customer advanced issues/concerns.
• Monitor and respond to alerts related to power, cooling, and network performance.
• Perform regular facility security and operational walk‑throughs for issue identification, reporting and documentation.
• Follow Method of Procedures (MOP) for equipment & cabling maintenance.
• Escalate critical incidents to senior engineers or management when needed.
• Proactively manage ticket queue for timely request response and completion.
• Escort and supervise third‑party vendors and visitors when required.
