Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to maintain and operate critical infrastructure across Amazon data centers. You'll monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems, troubleshoot events, perform PMs, and support change management.

The role requires on-site, 24/7 coverage with two shift options and potential for up to 60 hours per week. Night differential applies, and on-call rotations may occur.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of practical experience in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or fire suppression systems.
• Ability to lift up to 39 pounds and work at heights or on ladders.
• Shifts up to 12 hours with on-call rotations and rotating schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily building rounds to monitor critical infrastructure and ensure 24/7 reliability.
• Assist troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Maintain PMs and perform repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Support change management with technical writing.
