Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Operations Technician to join our data-center facilities team.

You will monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot incidents to ensure continuous, reliable operation of mission-critical infrastructure. The role requires 2+ years in electrical/mechanical/HVAC or fire suppression, the ability to work long shifts and potentially rotate schedules, and comfort with 12-hour shifts

Qualifications

• 2+ years of practical experience in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and/or fire suppression systems.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks and work on ladders or at heights.
• Willingness to work long shifts, weekends, and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds monitoring essential facility equipment to ensure 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor BMS/EPMS and troubleshoot facility events within SLAs.
• Support rack installs, decommissioning, PMs, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Provide on-site support to contractors and vendors in line with procedures and safety standards.
