Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Jessup, MD is seeking an experienced Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to hands-on troubleshoot and operate electrical and mechanical equipment in the data center.

The role requires 12-hour shifts and a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, reflecting the high-security environment. The candidate will manage routine rounds, perform preventative maintenance, support technicians, and respond to on-call emergencies while maintaining safety and security

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, or 1+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience.
• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment within the data center.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform maintenance tasks including filter changes, HVAC PMs, rack power installs, rack PDU, and rack ATS replacements.
• Provide support to Data Center Operations technicians.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Adhere to safety procedures while performing work.
• Work a 12 hour shift with rotating 3 and 4 day weeks.
