Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking Data Center Engineering Operations Technicians to perform hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation in a 24/7 data center environment.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, working in noisy environments, and willingness to work night and weekend shifts. Candidates must be US citizens with an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Qualifications

2+ years of relevant work experience
Able to walk job sites on uneven terrain and work at heights
Willingness to work 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends
US citizen with active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment in the data center
Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs
Perform limited maintenance such as filter changes, HVAC PMs, and rack power installs
Provide support to Data Center Operations technicians
Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
Ensure safety procedures are followed while performing work
Drive on-call rotation for regional sites and respond to off-hours emergencies
Document procedures and work orders, and participate in ongoing qualifications and projects
