Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a Data Center Operations Specialist to support the data center and critical healthcare IT systems on a day shift. The role emphasizes operations, security, and excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will assist with backups, system monitoring, and coordination of hardware installations, while ensuring uptime and adherence to procedures within IS Client Services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of work experience in a related discipline.
• Preferred: Associate degree in IT or related field; healthcare IT environment experience; relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform report processing and distribution for multiple applications.
• Provide afterhours support for hospital pagers.
• Complete system tape backup processes and offsite rotations when required.
• Ensure security processes are followed by anyone entering the data center.
• Maintain uptime and the integrity of the facility.
• Follow processes to validate Pharmacy faxes are transmitted or take corrective action.
• Manage all data center hardware installations and de-installations.
• Monitor system interfaces and take corrective action per established processes.
• Monitor data center environmental infrastructure and coordinate with building engineers to resolve issues.
• Provide outstanding end-user support and monitor incident management SLAs with related teams.
• Promote and adhere to change management policies and procedures.
• Model excellent customer service with timely, effective follow-up with customers.
• Collaborate across teams to achieve group goals and support a positive work environment.
