Amazon seeks a Data Center Facility Manager to lead and safeguard the infrastructure within a high‑availability data center. You will direct 24x7 teams and collaborate across teams to ensure reliability, uptime, and cost efficiency in a complex environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, safety, and hands‑on expertise with UPS, diesel generators, HVAC, and related systems. Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years in a management position with 5+ direct reports.
• 5+ years in data center or mission critical environment with UPS, generators, HVAC, etc.
• 7+ years of technical (military/trade school) training and/or experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the data center’s critical infrastructure.
• Oversee safety, security, availability, quality, and performance of the team.
• Manage teams of 24x7 engineering technicians and Facility Managers.
• Engage in improvement projects from conception to completion.
• Ensure staffing levels are maintained and grow with expansions.
• Be actively involved in ongoing construction activities.
• Coordinate daily with third party vendors ensuring adherence to SLAs.
• Effectively manage the operations budget and expenditures.
