Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Facility Manager to lead and protect our critical infrastructure across global data centers.

You will oversee electrical and mechanical systems, ensure reliability, safety, and efficiency, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep the cloud running. The role requires hands-on experience with UPS, generators, HVAC, CRAC units, chillers, and facility automation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of work in a management position with 5 or more direct reports
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in a data center or other mission critical environment with knowledge in UPS, Generators, HVAC, Evaporators and other critical infrastructure OR 7+ years of Technical (Military/Trade School) training and/or experience
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the data center's critical infrastructure. Ensure that all work performed within the space is done to high quality and without impact to internal/external customers
• Oversee the safety, security, availability, quality, and performance of the team, while driving a positive customer experience across multiple shift schedules
• Manage teams of 24x7 engineering technicians and Facility Managers in all facets of their career
• Engage in improvement projects, often requiring reaching out to a variety of support teams, and drive them from conception to completion
• Coordinate daily with a multitude of third party vendors ensuring adherence to contracted SLAs
• Effectively and efficiently manage the operations budget and expenditures
