Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Facility Manager to lead hands-on electrical and mechanical operations across AWS data centers.

You will oversee critical infrastructure such as switchgear, generators, UPS, HVAC, CRAC, chillers and pumps while maintaining 99.999% uptime and ensuring safety and compliance for on-site teams. The role requires 4+ years in management with 5+ direct reports and deep experience in data-center critical systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of work in a management position with 5+ direct reports.
• 5+ years of data center or mission critical environment experience with UPS, generators, HVAC knowledge; or 7+ years of related military/trade training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee data center physical infrastructure and maintain high availability.
• Manage on-site teams, subcontractors and vendors 24x7 to follow practices and safety protocols.
• Drive safety and security culture and compliance within the team.
• Effectively manage operations budget and expenditures.
• Support build-out of new facilities and drive efficiency projects.
