Job summary

Salute is hiring a Technical Shift Lead in New Albany, OH to oversee daily operations of critical data center infrastructure. You will lead and develop a technical team, coordinate across shifts and vendors, and act as escalation for complex issues and customer requests.

The role requires 5 years in data centers, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of UPS, HVAC, generators, and security systems. We offer robust benefits and a clear career path within a growing organization.

Qualifications

• 5 years of data center experience and operational maintenance responsibilities.
• Demonstrated leadership, supervision, or management within data center settings.
• Knowledge of critical infrastructure including MV switchboards, transformers, generators, UPS, PDUs.
• Ability to read single line diagrams, manuals and engineering plans.
• Experience with MOP/EOP/SOP and strong written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper maintenance of critical data center equipment such as UPS, HVAC, generators, and security systems.
• Identify, report and resolve hardware or software issues in the data center.
• Monitor data center performance, including power, temperature and other critical factors.
• Keep technical documentation up-to-date and accessible (manuals, diagrams, records).
• Monitor ticket queues and respond to tickets within required SLA times.
• Stay current with technology trends and upgrade the data center as needed.
• Lead and train the data center technical team to perform tasks efficiently.
• Plan and schedule technical work to meet deadlines and optimize operations.
• Communicate status updates to team members, vendors and customers.
• Manage resources and personnel to meet data center objectives.
• Supervise vendors/contractors, ensuring compliance and security.
• Continuously evaluate operations for efficiency improvements.
• Provide leadership and guidance through technical challenges.
