Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. - A19 is seeking hands-on Data Center Engineering Operations technicians to monitor and maintain critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure in AWS data centers.

You will work with front-line responders to ensure 24/7 reliability, safety, and uptime of essential systems, including diesel generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and cooling equipment. Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Ability to work at heights and in industrial environments
• Experience with electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and life-safety equipment to ensure 24/7 reliability
• Monitor BMS and EPMS for system health
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLAs
• Perform rack installs and decommissions within SLA
• Carry out PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repairs on equipment
• Support change management with technical documentation
• Manage daily work requests and drive projects to completion
• Provide on-site support to contractors and vendors per established procedures
• Roles may rotate between multiple locations/sites
