Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to help maintain mission-critical facilities, including diesel generators, UPS, switchgear, PDUs, CRAC, chillers, and cooling systems.

The role involves hands-on electrical and mechanical work, with travel between data centers as needed and potential shift rotations. We value experience with data center systems, ability to read engineering docs, and willingness to work a flexible schedule to ensure 24/7 uptime.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to travel between data center locations as needed.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
