Job summary

Milestone Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician II to install, maintain, and troubleshoot data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network gear.

You will serve as an escalation point for Level I technicians and perform complex tasks to ensure high availability and safety. The role requires an Associate degree and 2–4 years of related experience, with a willingness to work 10-hour shifts Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in data center operations, IT infrastructure support, or related technical environments.
• Experience with server hardware, storage systems, and networking equipment.
• Knowledge of data center best practices, rack layouts, and cable management.
• Experience replacing hardware components and performing diagnostics.
• Ability to read technical documentation and follow detailed procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, rack, stack, cable, label, and decommission servers, storage arrays, network devices, and related equipment.
• Perform hardware break‑fix activities, including replacement of components such as drives, memory, power supplies, GPUs, and network adapters.
• Execute planned maintenance activities and support infrastructure upgrades.
• Monitor data center health and environmental systems, including power, cooling, and rack space utilization.
• Support system deployments and migrations while minimizing operational impact.
• Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, and infrastructure issues independently.
• Respond to incidents within SLAs and escalate as needed.
• Create and update deployment documentation and change records.
