Job summary

AB2 Consulting, Inc. seeks a Data Center Operations Specialist to oversee efficiency and performance of Lithia Springs and remote data centers. You will help evaluate, configure, manage, and support all DC aspects, following ITIL guidelines, and serve as a technical lead during incidents and routine tasks.

The role requires strong networking and server knowledge, DCIM experience, and the ability to mentor staff while coordinating cross-team projects across locations.

Qualifications

• ITIL-based data center operations and incident/change management experience.
• Experience with DCIM tools and data center environment governance.
• Strong knowledge of network hardware, topologies and security architectures.
• Familiarity with network management systems such as Nagios or SolarWinds.

Responsibilities

• Operates and implements data center processes and procedures using ITIL standards for incident, problem and change management.
• Acts as primary technical contact for Data Center Services and CRES as technical lead and escalation point.
• Identifies trends and analyzes risks to assess impact on operations.
• Tracks operational metrics and provides senior management with trend analyses.
• Develops strategies to future-proof data centers for scalability and resiliency.
• Recommends and enforces policies aligning with corporate environmental guidelines.
• Coordinates with IT Infrastructure teams to fulfill requests, implement changes and respond to incidents.
• Works with departments to improve and manage the DCIM tool and processes.
• Creates and reviews SOPs, documents improvements, and conducts awareness training.
• Mentors staff in data center facilities and IT processes.
• Leads data center projects across departments and locations.
• Configures devices for installation and decommissioning, updating baseline, IPs, DNS, and validation.
