Job summary

Brooksource seeks a Level 2 Data Center Operations Technician to support a large enterprise data center in Lithia Springs, GA. The role starts with day shift training and transitions to a required night shift, with strong potential for full-time conversion.

You will diagnose and troubleshoot server hardware, assist with cabling and installations, respond to incidents, and uphold safety and operational standards in a high-availability environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a data center environment or hands-on IT infrastructure support.
• Server hardware troubleshooting and break/fix experience.
• Familiarity with enterprise hardware components (CPUs, GPUs, OS).
• Ability to own technical issues and work independently.
• Willingness to transition to night shift after training.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced server hardware troubleshooting and break/fix support.
• Diagnose and replace components including CPUs, GPUs, memory, power supplies, and networking hardware.
• Support rack/stack activities, hardware installations, and structured cabling.
• Respond to infrastructure tickets and operational incidents promptly.
• Assist with liquid cooling systems where applicable.
• Maintain compliance with data center safety and operational standards.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.

Data Center Operations Technician

$25 per hour

Schedule: Day Shift Training (Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm) / Transition to Night Shift (required)

Type: 3-6 Month Contract-to-Hire

• Experience in a data center environment OR strong hands-on IT infrastructure support experience
• Server hardware troubleshooting and break/fix experience
• Familiarity with enterprise hardware components (CPUs, GPUs, operating systems)
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical issues
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-urgency environment
• Willingness to transition to night shift after training (required)
• Liquid cooling experience (preferred)
• Experience in enterprise or hyperscale data centers (preferred)
• CompTIA A+ certification (preferred)
• Security+ or Network+ certification (preferred)
• Military technical background (preferred)
