Job summary

EOS IT Solutions in Ohio seeks a Data Center Network Operations Lead to oversee hardware repair, fiber deployment, testing, and maintenance across large-scale environments. You will lead a team of technicians, diagnose issues via CLI, and ensure SLA-driven 24/7 operations.

The role requires deep technical expertise in server, storage, and network hardware, experience with fiber splicing, OTDR testing, and strong leadership. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a technical discipline or equivalent hands-on data center experience.
• 5+ years in IT support and hardware diagnostics in enterprise environments.
• 2+ years in people management or team leadership roles.
• Strong CLI proficiency with Cisco CLI, Linux/Unix shells, iDRAC/iLO.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing fiber, server, storage, and network hardware.
• Familiar with network tools (ping, traceroute, netstat, SNMP, syslog).
• Excellent problem-solving and ability to work under pressure in high-availability environments.
• Strong communication and customer-focused leadership.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead field-based technical teams to meet deliverables and targets.
• Oversee hardware repair, fiber splicing, testing, and maintenance.
• Maintain documentation for incident resolution and root cause analysis.
• Manage ticket queues and SLA adherence.
• Provide mentorship to junior technicians.
• Coordinate infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and maintenance windows.
• Ensure compliance with MOPs/CMOPs and safety standards.
• Provide operational coverage in the absence of the Site Supervisor.
• Lead day-to-day team coordination and workload assignment.
• Monitor technician performance against targets.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are met.
• Escalate risks to the Site Supervisor.
• Foster accountability and operational excellence.
