Job summary

Leidos seeks a Data Center Network Engineer to support the AFNCR IT Services program. This on-site role at Joint Base Andrews focuses on deploying, configuring, and maintaining core data center networking hardware and services, with DoD security requirements and DoD-based policies.

The candidate will work with Cisco Nexus, DNA Center, ISE, F5 load balancers, TACLANE HAIPES, and RSA MFA, and participate in DR, backups, and on-call rotations in a highly secure environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or similar with 8 years of relevant experience or a Masters degree with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level II or III baseline certifications (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, CISSP).
• Professional-level network certification (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, F5-CA or equivalent).
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting enterprise-grade Cisco switches and routers.
• Hands-on admin of Cisco DNA Center, Cisco ISE, and F5 LTMs.
• Experience with RSA Authentication Manager administration.
• Experience configuring TACLANE HAIPEs and encryption units.
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs and SNMP monitoring (Cacti).

Responsibilities

• Manage, deploy, configure, and maintain core data center hardware (switches, routers, server NICs).
• Maintain detailed physical infrastructure documentation and asset tracking.
• Use Cisco DNA Center and ISE for policy enforcement and device profiling.
• Configure Cisco Nexus switches.
• Manage F5 LTM/GTM and RSA MFA integration.
• Monitor performance with SNMP tools (Cacti) and IPTV deployments.
• Install/configure TACLANE HAIPEs for data-in-transit security.
• Implement DoD cyber security measures per DoD regs.
• Develop SOPs for data center operations aligned with military directives.
• Coordinate with DISA and 26 NOS for rapid outages/resolution.
• Process ASIs and schedule preventative maintenance with stakeholders.
• Identify single points of failure and improve uptime.
• Support disaster recovery planning and routine backups.
• Participate in on-call rotation for tier-3 issues.
