Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager in Texas to oversee all phases of mechanical projects for data center and commercial builds. This role involves leading design through delivery, managing budgets, schedules, and procurement, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.

The ideal candidate should have a 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Science and at least 5 years of PM experience in mechanical construction.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in mechanical engineering and construction.
• Expertise in procurement, scheduling, change order pricing, and contract negotiation.
• OSHA-30 certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new software systems.
• Experience managing commercial projects and budgets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all stages of project life cycle from conception through delivery.
• Develop and manage project budgets in line with financial objectives.
• Negotiate contracts and change orders to secure favorable pricing and terms.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders with clear communication.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and industry standards and regulations.
• Utilize MS Office and other software to track progress, records, and reporting.
• Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Maintain professional and diplomatic demeanor in stressful situations.
