Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Mechanical Construction Technical Services Specialist Lead for a data center project in Corpus Christi, TX. You will lead technical interpretation of drawings and specs, coordinate with home office and external engineers, and support permitting and construction document control on complex facilities.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in mechanical engineering or 15–20 years in construction management for heavy-industrial facilities, with strong communication and leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles
• Experience interpreting home office engineering drawings
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in resolving in-progress issues related to drawings and specifications, coordinating with home office and engineers
• Liaise with home office engineering, outside firms, and client representatives
• Provide on-site technical support interpreting documents, specs, and drawings; input to change management
• Lead construction document management and document control activities
• Engage with permitting authorities and field contractors during execution
• Mentor and guide the team to meet project objectives
