Job summary

Jacobs in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a Mechanical Construction Technical Services Specialist to support on-site interpretation of drawings and specifications, coordinate with home office engineering and clients, and ensure revision control of construction documents.

You will mentor junior staff, manage field changes, and provide technical leadership on data center construction projects, interfacing with contractors and AHJs to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-7 years of experience working in Mechanical engineering or 8-10 years’ experience in construction management of heavy-industrial process facilities including life sciences and datacenters.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience, including certified technical training.
• Effective oral and written communication; ability to read and understand mechanical engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Engage in resolving in-progress issues related to technical interpretation of drawings and specifications; clarifying and expediting response to meet project needs.
• Liaise with home office engineering, outside engineering firms, and client representatives.
• Provide On-site technical support in interpretation of released documents, specifications, and drawings; input to the change management process.
