Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking an experienced Business Unit Leader for the Data Center Market to drive project execution from inception through closeout in Fullerton, CA with potential work in Hermiston, OR, Phoenix, AZ or Reno, NV.

The role oversees project administration, financial performance, schedule, risk management, and cross‑functional leadership to ensure profitability and client satisfaction across multiple data center projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four‑year college or university, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of seven consecutive years of total profit and loss accountability on multiple projects.
• Minimum of five years of experience managing all disciplines of design/build or hard bid projects.
• Experience with procurement or installation of process/equipment for large data center projects (> $2M).
• Ability to develop aggressive schedules and cost estimates for complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project administration, ensuring startup meetings, tracking actions, and site visits.
• Monitor budget, forecasts, change orders, and project profitability; report to VP or Market Leader.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, and communicate delays with proper notices.
• Lead risk management, safety, quality, and stakeholder engagement across projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, subcontractors, and consultants; mentor staff.
