Job summary

TensorWave is seeking a Data Center Manager to ensure 24/7 availability, security, and efficiency of our data center environment. You will lead a team, coordinate with cross-functional partners, and uphold high standards of excellence and impact.

You will manage incident response, capacity planning, and contractor supervision while maintaining strict security and compliance across SOC2, ISO, or HIPAA audits. This role emphasizes leadership, reliability, and operational discipline.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data center operations, with at least 2 years in a formal leadership or supervisory role.
• Experience supporting 24/7 customer-facing operations, including shift scheduling and on-call management
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability platforms (e.g. Grafana, Prometheus, or similar)
• Proven ability to hire, train, and lead technical operations teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in high-pressure incident scenarios
• Experience with ticketing and incident tracking systems (e.g., PagerDuty, ServiceNow, Jira, or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and schedule a team of 8 Data Center Technicians.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and skills assessments.
• Oversee Inventory/RMA Specialist to ensure lean hw cycles and efficient DOA processing.
• Manage installation, cabling, and decommissioning of server/storage/networking hardware.
• Act as primary escalation point for data center incidents and conduct RCAs.
• Monitor power, cooling, and space; forecast growth with Director.
• Supervise third-party contractors (HVAC, Electrical, Security).
• Maintain 100% accuracy in the DCIM database.
• Enforce physical security protocols and OSHA safety standards.
• Lead SOC2/ISO/HIPAA audits with proper documentation.
