Job summary

TensorWave is seeking a Data Center RMA /Inventory Specialist to manage hardware assets lifecycle in our fast-growing environment. You will maintain precise spares inventory, update DCIM and ERP systems, and coordinate with vendors and onsite technicians.

This role requires strong attention to detail, experience with ServiceNow/Jira/NetBox, and willingness to work a 24/7 shift. You’ll support repairs, audits, and data security compliance while ensuring smooth operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in inventory management or warehouse operations.
• Strong shipping/receiving procedures and RMA workflows.
• Ability to identify IT components (CPUs, DIMMs, SFP types).
• Proficiency with inventory software and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, NetBox).
• Excellent organizational skills; meticulous asset accuracy.
• Willingness to work 24/7 including nights and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate pallet jack.
• Able to work in loud, climate-controlled data center environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain precise inventory of spares (SFPs, fiber jumpers, drives, RAM, cables).
• Keep DCIM and ERP in real-time sync as assets move RFU.
• Lead weekly/monthly physical audits for 100% asset accuracy.
• Monitor par levels and alert on reorder points.
• Initiate and track RMAs with vendors (Dell, HPE, Cisco, Arista).
• Handle secure data destruction and compliance (NIST 800-88).
• Manage loading dock, unboxing, palletizing, carrier coordination.
• Coordinate with vendor technicians and access for repairs.
• Escort techs, ensure safety and clean room protocols.
• Verify vendor repairs and log replaced parts.
• Collaborate with 8 Data Center Technicians to detect DOA hardware.
• Perform initial health checks on returned/refurbished gear.
