SHI International Corp. in Somerset, NJ is seeking an IT Engineer – Data Center to support enterprise data center infrastructure, operations, and modernization.

The role requires hands-on infrastructure expertise, strong troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration across server hardware, virtualization, monitoring, power, and cabling. You will work with teams across facilities, networking, procurement, and vendors to drive initiative execution, maintain asset accuracy, and improve

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or relevant work experience.
• CCNA certification required on hire or within six months.
• 5+ years in enterprise networking environments (DNS, DHCP, IPAM).
• Experience with Active Directory and LDAP for user/resource management.
• Familiarity with automation/scripting (PowerShell, Python) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain server hardware lifecycle, rack/row organization, cabling standards, and asset accuracy.
• Support data center modernization initiatives and monitoring improvements.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, facilities, and vendors to drive project delivery.
• Translate requirements into actionable plans, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
• Identify risks and monitoring gaps to influence long-term solution success.
