Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure in Texas data centers. The role involves rack-and-stack, cabling, provisioning, testing, and documentation to meet Ericsson and customer standards.

The position requires a high school diploma or technical certification and 1+ years in data center or IT infrastructure support. Primarily Plano, TX, with other Texas locations, and no sponsorship for US work authorization.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure.
• Experience with data center hardware, racks, servers, networking equipment, power distribution systems, and structured cabling.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, installation documentation, and methods of procedure (MOPs).
• Experience performing rack-and-stack, cabling, testing, and equipment installation activities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment, and related infrastructure according to designs and installation docs.
• Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
• Install rack PDUs, connect equipment to power sources, and verify connectivity.
• Perform equipment provisioning, hardware component installation, and OOB management connections.
• Execute testing and validation activities, including continuity testing and fiber verification.
• Perform MACD activities and FRU replacements following procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, inventory updates, and as-built documentation.
• Identify and escalate design concerns, operational issues, and safety risks to senior technicians or site leadership.
