Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure within hyperscale and enterprise data centers in Texas. You will perform rack-and-stack, cabling, equipment provisioning, testing, and field support while adhering to Ericsson and customer standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or technical training and 1+ years in data center operations or IT infra. Plano, TX is primary with openness to other Texas locations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, or IT infrastructure support.
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking equipment, power distribution systems, and structured cabling.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, installation documentation, and MOPs.
• Experience performing rack-and-stack, cabling, testing, and equipment installation activities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment, and related infrastructure according to designs and installation docs.
• Install and route copper/fiber cabling with labeling and cable management.
• Install rack PDUs, connect to power sources, verify power and management connectivity.
• Perform equipment provisioning, hardware component installation, and OOB management connections.
• Execute basic testing and validation, including continuity testing and fiber verification.
• Perform MACDs and FRU replacements following approved procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, inventory updates, and as-built documentation.
