Job summary

McKinstry in Dallas, TX is seeking a Project Manager - Data Center Innovations to lead complex construction and engineering initiatives for data center projects. You will develop strategies, manage scope, schedule, and budgets while ensuring safety and client satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering, at least five years in project management, and proficiency with MS Project/Primavera, plus OSHA 30.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent required.
• Five (5) years of experience in project management, engineering or construction required.
• Proficient with scheduling software: Microsoft Project, Primavera and/or Suretrak.
• Completed OSHA 30 class is required.
• Experience with General Contractors or Major Mechanical Subcontractors preferred.
• PE, CPM, LEED designations preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Basic estimating skills required.

Responsibilities

• Identifies required resources to achieve project goals.
• Generates preliminary assessments, technical solutions, fee proposals, presentations, studies, and general support.
• Primary contact for project engineering staff during construction.
• Transitions project management and engineer activities from design to construction phase and completion.
• Communicates with the General Contractor, Architect, Engineer, Owner, and other stakeholders.
• Develops and manages project plans, schedules and scopes of work.
• Documents and resolves subcontractor and vendor billing issues.
• Assists business development in responses to RFPs and bid processes.
• Assesses site safety and implements actions to prevent injury to property and personnel.
• Ensures safety compliance of subcontractors and all on-site personnel.
• Reviews contracts, drawings, specifications and other resources to answer questions in a timely manner.
• Prepares or supervises Submittals, O&M Manuals, Change Orders Logs, RFI logs, etc.
