Job summary

Referment is partnering with a global investment firm to recruit a data center infrastructure engineer specializing in high-density liquid cooling and the associated hardware lifecycle. You will design and deploy dense infrastructure, manage power, cooling and space, and ensure field readiness.

The role involves coordinating vendors, validating cooling and power delivery, and developing runbooks. Lab and production work will test new liquid cooling approaches and DCIM integration.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in data center operations or critical facilities with a record of owning technical work in high-uptime settings.
• Hands-on experience with liquid cooling architectures, including fluid management and maintenance.
• Experience managing capacity and density as hardware requirements evolve.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings to trace power delivery and spot thermal issues.
• Systems administration fundamentals, including server hardware diagnostics, firmware management, and Linux/automation familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Support design and deployment of high-density infrastructure from specs to field execution.
• Manage site capacity across power, cooling and space to stay within limits and allow growth.
• Oversee vendors installing specialist infrastructure and verify power and thermal requirements.
• Develop runbooks and validate deployments for power distribution and production readiness.
• Pilot next-generation cooling, liquid-to-chip systems and secondary loops in lab and production environments.
• Keep monitoring and inventory records accurate and integrate deployments into DCIM and alerting; provide senior hardware support.
