Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Oregon seeks a Field Engineer to support AWS data centers, spanning the full building lifecycle from design reviews to upgrades and maintenance.

You will own reliability improvements and provide technical escalation to ensure continued operation. You will collaborate with Data Center Operations, Design Engineering, Health & Safety, and Controls teams to drive standards, analyze root causes, and deliver capacity, availability, and efficiency enhancements for

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent technical degree or experience.
• Must have a valid US driver's license and reliable personal transportation by start date.

Responsibilities

• Support critical infrastructure in AWS data centers across the region, spanning the full building lifecycle from design reviews to upgrades and maintenance.
• Own conceptual designs for capacity, availability, and efficiency improvements, lead engineering audits, and provide technical escalation support for sites in operation.
• Collaborate with Data Center Operations, Design Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Health & Safety, and Controls teams to drive fleet-wide standards and reliability.
