Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer to support AWS data centers, spanning design reviews to upgrades and maintenance.

You will troubleshoot, perform root-cause analyses, and drive corrective actions while owning regional capacity, availability, and efficiency improvements. You will collaborate with Data Center Operations, Design Engineering, Hardware Engineering and partner Controls teams to ensure fleet-wide standards and reliable operation across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 2+ cumulative years of controls experience in industrial, municipal, or commercial engineering including data centers/power facilities.
• Must have a valid US driver’s license and reliable transportation from start date.

Responsibilities

• Lead post-event engineering analysis for controls-related incidents and develop corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain controls logic and templates for mechanical and electrical equipment across air-handling units and power systems.
• Own the full engineering lifecycle for legacy controls pilots from intake to rollout decisions.
• Provide technical escalation support and review controls drawings, wiring diagrams, and network topologies for reliability and maintainability.
• Build baseline engineering playbooks, test scripts, and naming conventions for system health monitoring.
