Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Controls Colo Engineer to work with internal teams and colocation vendors across AWS data centers.

You will identify and resolve operational deficiencies from design inception through maintenance, supporting upgrades to add capacity and improve efficiency. You will lead reviews of controls, assist with design solutions, troubleshoot issues, and provide training to internal teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new and existing Colo control standards.
• Review designs for Colo Data Centers to ensure consistent AWS standards.
• Lead site audits and provide mitigation recommendations to improve availability and efficiency.
