Job summary

Johnson Controls Inc. is seeking skilled HVAC mechanics to join our North America teams, focusing on light to heavy commercial systems, and cutting-edge equipment in mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• Minimum of eight (8) years commercial and/or industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience in HVAC and related sectors.
• Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers and ammonia/hydrocarbon components.
• Maintain ammonia and hydrocarbon safety training certification.
• Travel 10%–20% to support branch activities and service calls.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
• Work with other mechanics and apprentices; mentor on-the-job training as needed.
• Provide quotes to customers and support sales quotes for service solutions.
• Ensure facility is running efficiently and diagnose system issues on commissioning and aftermarket service.
