Job summary
Johnson Controls is seeking skilled HVAC Mechanics to support light commercial and commercial HVACR service in North America. You will perform maintenance, repair, and replacement on commercial heating and cooling systems, and provide quotes to customers to ensure optimal performance.
The role requires a minimum of eight years of industrial HVAC troubleshooting experience, EPA refrigerants license, and union affiliation or willingness to join.
Qualifications
- 8+ years commercial/industrial HVAC troubleshooting experience.
- Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers and ammonia/hydrocarbon components.
- Universal EPA refrigerants license and state/local licensing.
- Travel 10–20% may be required.
- Member of United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry (UA) or willing to join.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repair and replacement on commercial HVACR systems.
- Provide quotes to customers to support recommendations and solutions.
- Commissioning and aftersales service to ensure facility runs efficiently.
- Train and mentor apprentices and Servicemen as needed.
- Prioritize safety and quality in all service activities.
