Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring skilled HVAC mechanics for commercial and industrial service in North America. You’ll support light to heavy-duty equipment, perform maintenance and repairs, and work with a collaborative team focused on safety and customer outcomes.

The role requires journeyman experience, union affiliation, and an EPA refrigerants license. Expect travel, hands-on training, and opportunities within a robust service network.

Qualifications

• Member or willing to join the United Association (UA) of the Plumbing & Pipe Fitting Industry.
• 8+ years of commercial/industrial mechanical troubleshooting in HVAC or data-center environments.
• Ability to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers and related systems.
• Valid EPA refrigerants license and applicable state/local licensing.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair and replacement on commercial HVACR systems.
• Collaborate with journeymen and apprentices; provide on-the-job training when needed.
• Prepare quotes and communicate problems, causes and corrective actions to customers.
• Operate safely, travel 10–20% to support branch activities as needed.
