Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking skilled HVAC Mechanics to support light to heavy commercial HVACR service in North America. The role involves maintenance, repair, and replacement of commercial heating and cooling systems, with opportunities for career development and union-based benefits.

Expect to work with local market mechanics, apprentices, and Servicemen; travel up to 20% may be required. A valid EPA refrigerants license and driver’s license are required to operate company vehicles and perform

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years of Commercial/Industrial HVAC troubleshooting experience.
• Must be a member or willing to join UA Plumbing & Pipe Fitting union (US/Canada).
• Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers, and ammonia/hydrocarbon components.
• EPA refrigerant license and valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair and replacement on commercial HVACR systems.
• Provide quotes to customers and support sales quoting.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to apprentices and Servicemen.
• Ensure facility efficiency and safety; communicate issues and actions to customers.
