Job summary

CBRE is seeking an IT Service Technician to play a critical role in data center operations, handling on-site build projects, deployments, and live production requests. You will ensure hardware installations, rack setups, and decommissions are performed efficiently and according to standards.

You will work with the customer to resolve issues, document problems, and contribute to SOP improvements while maintaining inventory accuracy and data center organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years deploying and supporting servers in 24/7 production data centers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with customers to resolve issues and drive solutions.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• On-site performance of all build projects and hardware installations.
• Support new deployments, builds, and live site/production requests.
• Assist cabinet installation and decommissioning as needed.
• Handle site shipments and maintain data center cleanliness.
• Install, replace, and troubleshoot server and switch hardware.
• Manage rack installations and inventory, including cycle counts.
• Document issues and suggest SOP/work instruction improvements.
• Maintain inventory systems and provide updates on levels.
