Job summary

Sonepar Management Group (SMG) is seeking a Business Development Director for the Data Center sector. The role focuses on identifying strategic opportunities with hyperscale and colocation customers, building executive-level relationships, and guiding early-stage intelligence to position Sonepar as a preferred partner.

You will drive growth by shaping account strategies, coordinating internal resources, and staying ahead of market trends in the data center ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in strategic sales, business development, or related roles.
• Proven ability to influence decision-makers within large organizations.
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
• Experience in mission-critical/ construction industries is a plus.
• Willing to travel 40-50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic relationships with hyperscale, colocation, and data center customers.
• Create and execute account engagement strategies to position Sonepar as a trusted partner.
• Develop multi-level relationship maps and strengthen long-term partnerships.
• Identify opportunities early in the project lifecycle and support pipeline growth.
• Collaborate across the organization to align growth objectives and resources.
