Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Project Manager for Tenant Fit Out to lead data center customer fit-out and tenant improvement projects. You will oversee planning, management, and execution of multiple projects, aiming to maximize profitability while meeting quality and safety standards.

You will coordinate with internal and external teams, develop PM plans, and manage budgets, schedules, and procurement within defined constraints.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum four+ years of project management experience in data center construction.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of commercial construction processes and estimating concepts.
• Understanding of contracts and how to protect company while delivering quality service.
• Familiarity with building codes and design requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication; capable of presenting to clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver predictable outcomes for internal and external teams and customers.
• Ensure safety, quality, and integrity in all work through the Layton Way.
• Assist in preparing estimates and budgets; manage PM plan (PMP).
• Lead project teams and coordinate pre-construction activities.
• Negotiate subcontracts and change orders; manage cost impact.
• Develop project schedules and milestones with the project superintendent.
• Obtain plans, specifications, and manage document control.
• Coordinate with estimators, vendors, and business development as needed.
• Close out projects with as-builts, final releases, and client documentation.
• Interact with all departments to ensure policy compliance and project goals.
