Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Project Manager to oversee one or more data center construction projects, ensuring profitability, quality, safety, and schedule adherence. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field, or the equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum of four or more years project management experience within Data Center Construction.
• Has a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Has an in-depth knowledge of commercial construction processes.
• Understands estimating concepts to verify bids and process change orders.
• Understands contractual language and protects the company while delivering quality service.
• Reads and understands plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Knows how to delegate and manage people effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of estimates for the project and prepares budgets and unit cost reports.
• Leads the project team in preparing the project management plan (PMP).
• Organizes pre-award and pre-construction meetings and negotiates subcontracts.
• Obtains permits and coordinates with regulatory requirements as necessary.
• Develops project schedule and milestones with the project superintendent.
• Manages procurement within the project's budget constraints and schedule.
• Develops and monitors project quality, safety, and risk management plans.
• Coordinates final close out procedures including as-built drawings and letters of completion.
