Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to support its rapidly growing Data Center practice. You will design fire protection systems, perform code analyses, and collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to meet reliability and safety requirements. This role supports multiple large-scale projects across the U.S.

and involves working with AHJs and internal leadership. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in fire protection engineering, knowledge of NFPA, IBC, and IFC, and experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related engineering discipline
• 5+ years of fire protection engineering experience
• Experience designing fire protection for Data Center or mission-critical facilities
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes, IBC and IFC

Responsibilities

• Serve as Fire Protection Engineer for Data Center and Mission Critical projects
• Provide fire protection design, code analysis, and life safety engineering
• Establish design criteria, basis of design, and technical standards
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines
• Interface with clients, AHJs, and insurers to obtain approvals
• Support business development and large-scale campus master planning
