Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to support Data Center and mission-critical projects across the United States. You will lead fire protection design, code analysis, and life-safety engineering, coordinating with clients, architects, and AHJs to meet stringent reliability requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of fire protection engineering experience.
• Extensive knowledge of NFPA, IBC, IFC, FM Global data sheets, OSHA, and local codes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Fire Protection Engineer for Data Center and Mission Critical projects.
• Provide fire protection system design, code analysis, and life safety engineering.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and interface with clients and AHJs.
• Develop design criteria, basis of design reports, and technical standards.
• Oversee hydraulic calculations for water distribution networks and sprinkler systems.
• Support business development and client engagement within the Data Center market.
